It’s summer time, which means it’s time for some big gaming sales. The Steam Summer Sale is already well underway, and Sony jumped in with some discounts on the PlayStation Store. Now it’s Microsoft’s turn and they’re hitting back hard with a return of the now annual Xbox One Ultimate Game Sale.
Last year saw some big discounts on games like Mortal Kombat, Assassin’s Creed, and Halo. This year’s titles haven’t been announced yet, though they will be dropped on July 3rd. Discounts should range from 40-60%, and Xbox Live Gold members will get an extra 10% off the price.
It’ll be interesting to see what games get put up on the Xbox One Ultimate Game Sale. Quantum Break, The Division, Mirror’s Edge, Dark Souls 3, and DOOM were all teased in the announcement trailer, which you can check out below. These are almost sure things at this point, but there will certainly be a lot of surprises. Whether they are AAA games that everyone wants, or just some titles that have been discounted before is anyone’s guess.
The sale should last a while too, with last year’s running from the 7th to the 13th. Be sure to check back for any big discounts when the Xbox One Ultimate Game Sale launches on the 5th.
