This year will be a big year for the Yakuza series as it will see the release of 3 games related to it. One will be a prequel, another will be a remake and the last will be a sequel, and the sequel will be getting a demo later this month.
The demo for Yakuza 6 will be available to those who purchase the retail version of the remake Yakuza: Kiwami, which launches for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on January 21 in Japan. Even though the code will be included with both versions of the game, it will only be playable on PlayStation 4 and goes live on January 28 in Japan.
No worries for those who purchase the game through PSN, though, as you’ll be automatically granted access to the demo on the same PSN account. A file size for the demo has not been revealed at this time, though these games are typically pretty big so it will probably take up a good chunk of space.
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when these games will be releasing outside of Japan, as all we know is that they will be localized sometime this year. In the meantime, check out Yakuza 6’s awesome first gameplay trailer below.
