The voice of Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Stefanie Joosten, described the game’s story as dark and some characters you may start to hate.

Joosten talked extensively about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain during an interview with Fragged Nation on YouTube. Not only did she talk about her own character Quiet, but she also mentioned the dark tone of the game and how you might dislike some of its characters.

Joosten described Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s story as “very dark“. She of course didn’t want to share or spoil any details about it. She did however say that you “may come to hate a lot of characters as well“. Hideo Kojima usually isn’t afraid of pushing the boundaries so we’ll have to see what kind of dark things happens to the characters in the full game.

Speaking more about Quiet, she said most of the characters in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain are suspicious of her at first. She even mentioned Quiet does have a complicated relationship with Big Boss and Kaz as well as some of the other characters that will be in the game.

Joosten herself is far from just a pretty face. She is familiar with the Metal Gear Solid series as she’s played most of them apart from earlier 2D ones. The only 3D MGS game she failed to complete was Metal Gear Solid 2. She also revealed she has been working on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for three years now. She also did some military training to help prepare for the role.
