4. Warrior’s Way

This one might be a bit higher on my list than others as it is sort of a personal favorite. Warrior’s Way gets so high on my list mostly because it remains a simple affair, offering quick action and easy gameplay. Yet there was still some strategy once you figured out how to best manage your forces. The actual gameplay is a game of rock/paper/scissors, but thanks to some great additions there is much more to the game. One of the best strategies for me was to simply give up on one of the classes, focusing on two guaranteed victories, for example. Add in the ability to combat other players to gain their army and you have a fantastic StreetPass game.

3. Ultimate Angler

The best of the latest bundle of StreetPass games, Ultimate Angler throws everything that’s great about StreetPass at the player. There’s strategy with the different bait types, there’s collecting with the different fish species, and then there’s design with the aquariums that you can buy and fill with your catches. While the game still takes a bit too much time for my tastes, it allows you to quickly wrap things up if that is your goal. Catching fish is fun and exciting, and gives players a lot to think about as they work their way around the island.

2. Find Mii & Find Mii 2

The game that started it all, Find Mii was one of the two original StreetPass titles packaged with the 3DS. The more robust of the two, the game took advantage of all of the characteristics of the Mii characters. Shirt colors were used for magic and shield breaking, and the more you StreetPassed the same person, the higher their level in the game. This was also the origin of the hats that your Mii can wear, with many more being added in the revamped Find Mii 2. This second title totally refined the game, bringing it into line with the later titles. More enemies, more hats, and more choices. Find Mii 2 was near perfection for StreetPassing.

1. Puzzle Swap

The original and still the best, Puzzle Swap is the StreetPass game. Of course, it is also the simplest, but that is exactly where its charm and longevity come from. Even players that have moved on from StreetPassing will usually jump into Puzzle Swap just to see if they can complete their collection. It certainly doesn’t offer much gameplay. In fact, it doesn’t really offer any. But somehow that works perfectly for StreetPass games. It is quick and easy to jump in, check for new pieces, and get out without much hassle. While it is my favorite, it is good that Nintendo hasn’t tried to repeat its success as another game of just collecting would feel repetitive. But having this gem, and seeing the new puzzles appear at random times is really all I need from StreetPassing.

This is just my list though, and as you can see it is heavily weighted toward the simpler, and easier to get through games. What about you? Post your list in the comments, or just tell me how wrong mine is.
