A TikTok creator says he tried to tune out a newly engaged couple seated beside him on a flight, only for their conversation to become even more personal. Dylan Dally said the couple openly discussed everything from their intimate life to past trauma and wedding plans at full volume.
As detailed by The Daily Dot, Dally initially tried to block out the couple with noise-canceling headphones. When their conversation became too hard to ignore, he opened his notes app and started documenting the exchange.
The video, captioned “A long story but worth it I seriously am not making this up,” has since drawn millions of likes. Many viewers joked that the ordinary flight had turned into an unsolicited relationship podcast.
The middle seat made the whole thing even harder to escape
According to Dally, the discussion began innocently, with the couple comparing seatbelts, before taking an intimate turn. The man reportedly said he was disappointed that some of their intimate plans had not happened during the trip, though he still considered the getaway romantic.
He then told his fiancée that he wanted her to show more “initiative and creativity” in the bedroom. She reportedly explained that working late had left her too tired recently, but agreed to try initiating intimacy more often.
Dally said the man kept discussing their future plans while repeatedly bumping into him in the cramped middle seat, leaving him physically uncomfortable and emotionally overwhelmed. Former flight attendant Kyle Wilemon recently shared how he handled a seatmate blasting music on a flight to Nashville.
The couple then moved on to their engagement, with the man sharing that he had designed his fiancée’s ring himself. He also reportedly disclosed that he had experienced sexual assault three times. His fiancée asked how he had processed those experiences, and according to Dally, the man said he had chosen to move on.
After the plane took off, the couple cuddled and discussed the designs for their wedding rings. Their conversation continued after landing, and they reportedly shared a kiss at the airport.
The video drew thousands of comments from viewers who could not believe how openly the couple spoke. One commenter pointed to the timing, writing, “‘And then finally we take off’ WE WEREN’T EVEN IN THE AIR YET???”
Another viewer reacted to the man’s request for more effort in the bedroom, asking, “MORE INITIATIVE AND CREATIVITY? WHAT IS SHE, AN EMPLOYEE????”
Attack of the Fanboy was unable to independently verify the couple’s side of the story, as this account comes solely from a TikTok video.
