Over 6 months later, the debate around Charlie Kirk’s brutal assassination remains the same. Not just because of his alleged murderer, whose rifle didn’t match the bullet found in Kirk’s body, but also because of his wife. Erika Kirk, who has already forgiven her husband’s killer, is often under scrutiny over her expressions and the way she talks.
As a result, a famous comedian and YouTuber, Druski, made a skit about Erika that is spreading online and has already gathered millions of views. While his main intention was sarcasm, some of the audience, including President Donald Trump, apparently disliked the comedian’s approach. Now, as per the Daily Beast, Trump has advised Charlie Kirk’s wife to sue Druski over his parody.
The president at the White House Happy Easter lunch started the discussion with, “Hello darling,” then went off-script saying, “I think you should sue them… I told her, you ought sue some of these…” This advice came after Druski’s skit, suggesting that trouble could soon be knocking on the comedian’s door if Erika considers Trump’s suggestion.
Druski didn’t say ‘Erika’ in his entire parody, but he ain’t fooling anybody
Just like Donald Trump, who didn’t directly say Druski’s name while giving this bold suggestion to Erika, Druski did something similar. In his entire parody focused on “How Conservative Women in America Act,” the comedian didn’t mention Charlie Kirk’s wife directly in the video. Instead, he dressed as Erika and relied on heavy makeup techniques that blended humor to hint at the fact that he is trying to act like Erika.
Aside from Druski’s heavy prosthetics, blonde wing, and white suit, his attempt to mimic the widow’s facial expressions quickly went viral. There are online clips comparing his acting to the original, and the audience is not only shocked by the accuracy but also points to the potential for a lawsuit from Erika’s side.
Druski’s sketch mocks exaggerated patriotic gestures and crowd-pleasing theatrics, all while mimicking Erika. As a result, many have already criticized it as over-the-top or crossing a line. Now, with Trump’s feedback, it looks like the scrutiny around this skit is far from over. Before the president, the widow had already responded, finding it disrespectful and saying that Druski had turned her into a joke in front of millions.
She also said that if she had done the same to the comedian, the consequences might have put a ‘racist’ label on her. Coming back to Trump, he also said, “They’re so jealous of Erika. I said, you ought to sue, I can say—you’re not allowed to say this—you have to be nicer. Sue their a** off.” This is yet another sign of humbleness that the president has shown for Erike since the assassination of her husband.
Even though Druski hasn’t mentioned her name, his get-up is quite obvious that he is trying to mimic Erika Kirk. As of yet, the widow hasn’t filed anything, but if she did, the lawsuit will surely come like a wrecking ball to the comedian.
