This Georgia woman was supposed to help children with autism, but surveillance footage showed her stepping on a 5-year-old patient

What harm can a 5-year-old possibly bring?

At this point, we are coming across many headlines telling us horrific stories of child cruelty. We have heard about a nurse who was trusted to take care of a medically challenged toddler but ended up in an abuse case. Another incident, not as extreme, but still very questionable, has come to light. Happened in Georgia, where a teacher also lost his life in a bizarre student prank, a woman is accused of stepping on an innocent 5-year-old autism patient, in an attempt to stop him from harming her.

The incident took place at Circle City ABA therapy center in Augusta, Georgia, where this woman appears to work. According to People, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office made it clear to WRDW that Aaniyah Brown of Augusta is charged with first-degree cruelty to children due to this shocking incident.

Even the person who reported the incident to the authorities wasn’t aware of it until someone else told them, according to WRDW. The surveillance footage showed Aaniyah’s questionable actions, which were then described to the authorities. According to the information from the arrest warrant report obtained by WRDW, the police noticed everything in the footage that was described, including Brown placing her foot on the 5-year-old’s face.

So she did all of that because someone as little as just a 5-year-old was harming her?

Aaniyah Brown was supposed to help the children with autism, but the footage shows her doing the complete opposite. Per the security footage, she was seen pushing the poor kid two times with her foot. After this, Brown held the 5-year-old down by putting her foot on the child’s lower back and pushing. The kid also made an attempt to get up, but Brown reportedly used her foot on the autistic child and pushed him so he couldn’t get up.

Everything happened right at the therapy center where this child was supposed to get help, but the arrest warrant also says that he ended up with Brown putting her foot on his face. Though if you ask the woman, she says using her foot on the child was an attempt to keep him away from harming her. This excuse could make many furious: what harm could a 5-year-old in a therapy center cause?

Well, this was Brown’s justification, which still led to her being arrested and transported to the Richmond County Jail. She was later released on a huge $20,000 bond and was charged with one count of first-degree cruelty to children.
