Epstein Files and the people mentioned in it are under intense public scrutiny these days, and the NFL, being the most-watched sport in the US, is also suffering from the aftershocks. New York Giants owner Steve Tisch was mentioned several times in the files, and there were speculations about whether he was actually a culprit. Now, Roger Goodell has stated that, to date, they have not found anything that could be a violation from the league’s perspective.
Per the Daily Mail, Roger Goodell confirmed that the NFL has not yet found anything to suggest Steve was involved in heinous crimes like Epstein. The commissioner even confirmed that Steve’s family is also making changes to their ownership, as he and his siblings are transferring assets to their children’s trust following the Epstein files situation. But on one side, there are claims that he has not done anything, and on the other, they are transferring assets that raise doubts.
Roger stated, “As we said, we’re going to follow the facts. We have been doing that. We’ve been very focused on making sure we know everything that’s out there. We’ve engaged with others to make sure we have that information. But we have not found anything that’s a violation at this stage,” he also said, “As you know, the Tisch family also made some family changes. Steve, Jon, and Laurie actually did some transactions as part of their estate planning and are no longer owners.”
Tisch himself admits to exchanging emails with Epstein about adult women
Goodell, who also weighed in on Bad Bunny’s anti-ICE remarks, is clear that the NFL hasn’t seen anything yet that is worth punishing. However, Tisch himself has admitted to having conversed with Epstein about alleged adult women. His involvement has been limited to online conversations, but the idea itself has raised eyebrows, prompting the authorities and the NFL to look into the matter.
Steve’s side of the story claims, “We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments,’ his statement also reads, “I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.” Despite their discussion on controversial topics, he declared that he had never visited Epstein’s location.
The debate is apparently lingering with huge consequences lurking around Tische, but since nothing alarming has come out of his case yet, the NFL won’t be taking any action. However, the emails and their content still paint Steve’s picture in a questionable light. Plus, the transfer of assets to children’s trust just when this incident sparked could also raise eyebrows of many. Regardless, only time will tell the truth as further investigation is done.
