A WNBA star just broke her silence with a chilling court declaration, and a $200k offer from her NFL ex reveals the dark reality of their relationship

WNBA star Rickea Jackson has just filed a chilling court declaration. She says she fears for her life from her ex-boyfriend, Atlanta Falcons defensive end James Pearce Jr., which led to a temporary restraining order being granted. According to TMZ Sports, Jackson went to court on February 9 to seek a temporary injunction for protection, telling the court she was in fear for her life and believed that without the order, “James will kill me.”

The court granted Jackson’s request for a temporary injunction, with a hearing for a permanent injunction scheduled for next month. Under the terms of this order, Pearce Jr. is prohibited from having any contact with Jackson. He must also stay at least 500 feet away from her residence and cannot come within 100 feet of her car at any time. A serious part of the order also mandates that Pearce Jr. surrender any firearms and ammunition he possesses to the nearest police department.

Jackson’s declaration details a pattern of alarming behavior preceding the most recent incident on February 7. She stated that Pearce Jr. had previously “threatened to kill me, James has threatened to harm me, James has threatened to injure me. James has threatened to place a bag over my head, and James has verbally and physically abused me on more than one occasion.”

It’s hard to imagine dealing with this case

She further claimed that approximately three weeks before the February 7 incident, Pearce Jr. became violent after accusing her of cheating. While at a gas station, she said “James attacked me by snatching my cellular phone out of my hand, pulling my hair and taking my personal belongings.” Following this attack, Jackson informed Pearce Jr. that she no longer wished to continue their relationship.

He allegedly refused to accept this, continuing to threaten her. She wrote, “I am truly in fear for my life.” For the subsequent three weeks, he reportedly continued “harassing me through text messages consistently demanding that I end a relationship,” despite her clear statement that the relationship was over.

The events escalated significantly in the early morning hours of February 7. Jackson stated that her ex-boyfriend offered her a substantial sum of money, upwards of $200,000, in an attempt to convince her to stay with him. Later that same morning, as she was driving home, Jackson noticed Pearce Jr. allegedly following her. Cases involving threats or violence between former partners have drawn increasing attention, including one where police launched a $250,000 reward in a manhunt for a suspect accused of killing his pregnant ex and two others.

Things took a dangerous turn when Pearce Jr. reportedly “blocked my path of travel” with his vehicle. She claimed he then “gets out of his vehicle and approaches my vehicle. Then James starts banging on my window, demanding I get out of the vehicle.” Jackson managed to drive away, but Pearce Jr. allegedly chased her down and used his car to strike hers. She drove directly to the Doral Police Department, attempting to flag down an officer for help, but Pearce Jr. allegedly struck her car again right there.

Police attempted to take Pearce Jr. into custody at the scene, but he reportedly drove off. Officers pursued him, eventually apprehending him and taking him to jail. He was booked on multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, aggravated stalking and fleeing or eluding police.
