Dak Prescott and his ex-fiancée were set to battle in court over their children, but a last-minute decision reshapes the custody showdown

Is this a good sign?

Couples battling for the custody of their kids is one of the most sensitive topics we hear, and these cases are also making headlines in the sports scene as well. Following NBA star Luka Doncic’s breakup, which led him to prepare for a custody battle for his kids, another couple has found themselves in a similar situation. This time, it involves Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and his ex-fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos.

As things seemed, both of them were having a great life together, and even their marriage was on the horizon. But recently, Sarah decided to part ways with Dak, who then wanted to take her to court to negotiate about their children. Now, as per Page Six, the parents have taken a different approach and are negotiating outside the court after postponing their hearing. Sarah’s Miami-based family law attorney, Raymod Rafool, said, “The parties are working together. My client’s very happy with the course that this matter is going.”

At the same time, Prescott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern II, told Page Six, “The case is not resolved, but the parties have agreed to postpone the first hearing in an attempt to work out all of the various issues without court intervention.” He further added, “Dak is an absolutely phenomenal father and is looking forward to working with Sarah Jane to develop a healthy co-parent relationship and do what is in the best interests of his children.”

Hope the custody negotiations go smoothly

The couple is said to sort things out together. However, they must reach a decision quickly; if they fail to do so before April 16, the parents will have no choice but to take the matter to court. But apart from this custody battle, what really happened that made Dak and Sarah go their separate ways?

Well, Sarah Jane Ramos was about to become Prescott’s wife, but she called it off because of the NFL player’s alleged “ongoing infidelity issues.” She discovered that Dak had a pattern of crossing lines with other women, sending messages and flirting. After their joint bachelor/bachelorette trip in the Bahamas, Sarah also learned that her husband-to-be uses secret or burner accounts to talk to other women and ex-flings.

These messages looked inappropriate to the athlete’s fiancée. It seems like Dak Prescott was expected to improve, but apparently, he kept slipping back into his old habits. As a result, Sarah lost her faith in him, and sources say she is completely “done” with the quarterback, suggesting there is no chance of the two getting back together. For now, she just wants to co-parent their daughters.

With this decision, it looks like their legal fight has cooled down into a private, mutual discussion. Whether or not it stays this way depends on them.
