Ryan Gosling shared the secrets of filming a movie 12 light-years away, but the conversation took a turn when Travis Kelce revealed his own NASA pitch

Travis wants a trip to the moon.

The hype for Ryan Gosling’s Project Hail Mary seems to be going into full swing, with several media personalities sharing their opinions about it. Ryan, who is quite optimistic about his newly released film, recently appeared on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast to discuss his journey filming the latest sci-fi movie.

The actor seemingly joined them for promotion purposes, but the conversation the three had was quite light and sarcastic. Since this sci-fi movie is about space travel and aliens, Ryan shared related insights with Jason and Travis, which then became the Chiefs’ star NASA pitch. As per HITC, Jason and Ryan showed no real interest in actually traveling into space, except for Travis, who casually said that he would not mind traveling out of earth’s boundaries.

The conversation then took an unexpected turn when the athlete ended up talking about his space ambitions. Travis added, “I do. I want to go. The moon, I guess, just the closest thing. Just there and back. Just a quick shuttle, right?” These comments suggest that the NFL player is quite interested in space travel, but only when it comes to the moon.

Travis Kelce’s space plans look certain, but his NFL career is still up in the air

Following this podcast conversation with Ryan Gosling, it looks like Travis won’t hesitate a bit in traveling to the moon once he gets the opportunity. But what happens with his NFL career after the 2026 season still remains a mystery. His mid-season crises almost ended his career, but the player has recently signed a one-year, $12 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Once this deal ends, the team can release him after June 2027, which could mean either retirement or another season, depending on Travis’ decision. Since the athlete hasn’t said anything further about this contract, his NFL career is still up in the air. If he decides to retire, the team will potentially lose a culturally irreplaceable and key leader and pivot to younger tight ends like Noah Gray or draft picks.

Coming back to Project Hail Mary, with just a day left until its release, the promotion and hype around it look quite promising. While the movie may not have extracted an astronaut out of Ryan Gosling, the hype has surely sparked Travis Kelce’s space dreams to the point that he has talked about traveling to the moon like it’s pretty simple.
