Tiger Woods’ recent car crash has caused a huge stir in the media lately, and everybody is going off on him for his seemingly reckless decision. In a recent NFL program, Stephen A. Smith and his panelists discussed the matter, with everyone questioning the golf pro’s recklessness. However, Mad Dog Russo went on to question his friends about this incident.
According to the Daily Mail, Mad Dog Russo declared that he could not talk about this catastrophe based solely on Tiger Woods’ track record; he would also question the golf and the golfers. He mentioned Togers’ golf friend, Justin Thomas, calling him the athlete’s best friend and declared that even though his friends do not want to get on his bad side, stopping him could help save his life and the lives of others who could be hurt by him.
Mad Dog stated, “I’m going to blame the golf people here, too. ‘How about somebody in the last 15 years say, “Tiger, enough of this nonsense.”‘ Okay, instead of genuflecting in front of Tiger, because he’s an all-time great golfer, and you don’t want to get on Tiger’s bad side, how about somebody in the sport in the last 10 years put a stop to this, take the keys away? The next funeral is going to be his or somebody else’s that we’re going to have to go to,” Russo added. “He’s lucky [he] didn’t kill somebody here.”
Stephen A. Smith wants Tiger Woods to stop getting behind the wheel and address his drug issues
After Russo’s harsh take, Stephen A.Smith declared that Tiger Woods should end driving himself and hire a driver. Stephen reacted to Woods’ refusal to hire a chauffeur despite his bad track record. He stated, “You must have a very highly suspect life if you, as a billionaire, don’t even want to hire a driver.” Smith declared that the whole scenario isn’t ‘sad,’ but ‘stupid.’
Tiger Woods is seemingly taking notes on the questions regarding this issue. Woods, amidst this controversy, reported he would step away and seek treatment to prioritize his well-being and work toward lasting recovery. Fans may expect him to stay away from driving, as he might finally be focusing on himself after three alarming crashes in a while.
Despite a productive career that made him a golfing legend, these accidents seem to have built a reckless track record for the athlete. This has gotten so far to the point that Stephen A. Smith and his panelists have also weighed in on the situation. Apart from them, even his ex-wife has shown concerns about Tiger because she wants him to be there for their daughter and son. As things stand, Woods promising behavior is the only answer to the critics.
