Kata Hay, a former contestant from singing competition show The Voice, was arrested in Oklahoma. Police had been searching for her across multiple states because of a vehicular homicide warrant. She is now being held at the Osage County Jail.
According to AOL, the Goodlettsville Police Department had asked for public help to find Hay just one day before her arrest. They posted her photo online a day before her arrest, showing the 38-year-old wearing a black-and-white prison jumpsuit. The charges against her are connected to a car crash that happened in Davidson County, Tennessee.
Police said Hay’s arrest happened after investigators received numerous tips from the public about her whereabouts. TikTok users proved instrumental in locating her by monitoring her social media activity and promptly relaying crucial information to law enforcement authorities.

Law enforcement officials credited the vigilant online community for their role in the arrest, noting that the volume and quality of tips they received significantly accelerated the investigation.
Hay is currently charged as a fugitive from justice. She is waiting to be sent back to Tennessee to face the vehicular homicide charge. Her legal name is Kata Huddleston.
Many people remember Hay from her appearance on The Voice in 2016. She auditioned with the song Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson. Almost all the coaches turned their chairs around, except Blake Shelton. Similar to other celebrity legal troubles, YouTube star Jack Doherty’s recent arrest also made headlines after police found something in his possession.
Hay joined Team Christina Aguilera after the audition. During the pitch session, she told Aguilera that the famous singer was her first “girl crush.” Aguilera responded by suggesting they should “just make out now” to “get it over with so we can get to work.” The two then kissed on stage, creating a memorable moment. Hay made it to the Top 20 before getting eliminated.
Since leaving the show, Hay has faced several legal problems. In 2022, she was arrested in Sumner County, Tennessee, for having sexual contact with a minor. She pleaded guilty and served a six-month sentence. This case joins other shocking criminal cases, like when a 7-year-old boy was discovered in a freezer under horrifying circumstances.
When Hay was arrested in 2022, she was already on probation for a DUI charge from 2017. With the new vehicular homicide warrant, she now faces serious legal consequences ahead.
