Bungie finally returns to the FPS genre with Destiny — Does their long awaited shooter live up to the hype? We’ve put the game through its paces and have come to a final verdict. We gave the game a 4/5 “Liked” for Destiny in our written review.
Saying that “Destiny offers a lot of promise, but ultimately fails to deliver on everything it attempts. Still, thanks to Bungie’s fantastic FPS design you will have fun playing the game. How much time you are willing to put into it will largely depend on how easily you get past the repetitive missions and maps.”
We did also call Destiny a visual stunner, claiming that it never fails to impress in the visual department. Unfortunately, the go here and activate gameplay that Bungie leaned on for this release took some excitement out of the campaign.
Destiny’s level system is complicated, but there’s plenty to sink your teeth into once you’ve completed the game: including Cooperative, PvE missions, Strikes, and PvP in the Crucible.
