EA Breaks Down Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Kingdoms of Amalur is new RPG that is headed out in 2012, which caught many off guard in recent showings by looking surprisingly bad-ass.  Ken Rolston of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is excutive designer behind the game, so as you can expect, the game has serious pedigree from a design standpoint.  R.A. Salvatore has penned the game’s lore, and with art handled by Todd McFarlane of Spawn, you’ve got a trifecta of RPG goodness.

There’s plenty of depth to be had in both the gameplay and the story, as you can tell by the recent “Heroes Guide” that EA has released.  The four minute video walks you through some of the background of the story, as well as some of the gameplay elements to be expected when Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning drops next year.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is set for a February 7th release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC via Origin.
