Aside from the Beast Mode and four player co-op that was demonstrated at the Microsoft E3 Press conference a load of new Gears 3 media was dropped by the gang at Epic. These new artworks, screenshots, and trailers kick off E3 with a bang. More is promised to come from the team at Epic but this, this is a good start to say the least.
Update: Gears of War 3 did end up being all that it was hyped up to be. Following the release of Gears of War 3, Epic Games never released another Gears of War title. This completed the trilogy for Bleszinski, Fergusson and company.
People Can Fly did end up making a spin-off in Gears of War: Judgment, but it wasn’t nearly as well recieved as its predecessor. Many years later and a console lifecyle ahead, Rod Fergusson took the helm at a newly formed Microsoft Studio called The Coalition.
There the latest game in the series, Gears of War 4 was released in 2016.
