GTA V fans bide their time in Battlefield 3

It’s been a long wait for Rockstar’s GTA V, but that wait is almost over.  However, some fans are simply growing restless turning to other forms of entertainment to keep them busy.  One YouTuber has taken to Battlefield 3 to create a machinima of the popular Grand Theft Auto 5 trailer, using only assets and gameplay footage from the first person shooter.

The parody video came out pretty well, considering the thing was made entirely from in-game footage of Battlefield 3 and the accompanying soundtrack for the GTA V trailer.  It doesn’t have the direction that a production company offers for the professional trailers out there, but the random acts of Battlefield 3 make for some funny unscripted moments nonetheless.

We won’t have to wait much longer for GTA V.  Rockstar has confirmed that the game will be heading out in the spring of 2013, though they’ve yet to confirm a concrete release date.  Later this month, GTA V fans can expect Rockstar to finally unveil the offical box art for the game, and hopefully when to expect the game on store shelves.
