A new behind the scenes video has been released looking at how WWE 2K15 was made.

IGN has revealed another look at the making of WWE 2K15. The new video is titled “The Game Has Changed”. 2K realized the one thing that needed to change about the series is to evolve the gameplay. One thing many fans can agree on is that the WWE series of games hasn’t evolved since 2007 or so. This year, they wanted to really change up the gameplay for the better.

WWE 2K15 developer Bryan Williams noticed in past games, most wrestlers all played the same or were very similar. Thanks to the power of the PS4 and Xbox One, they started to change up the gameplay to make it feel more real.

For WWE 2K15, they studied the craft of what a WWE match should be like. They looked at the pacing and flow of matches from beginning to end. Sure pro-wrestling is scripted, but every match is paced in a specific way to excite the audience in different parts. It’s like crafting a fight scene in a movie is the best way for me to describe it.

Visual Concepts also made sure to make all of the animations in WWE 2K15 look authentic as possible. The team mo-capped six times more than they had ever done in previous WWE games before it.
