With the next generation of consoles getting closer each day Microsoft have released a new trailer showing off the Xbox One’s many different capabilities, giving everybody a chance to “Meet the Xbox One” before its November 22 release.
On display are the Xbox One’s Kinect-powered voice navigation abilities as one gamer who seemingly can’t decide what to do with his time rapidly changes between watching movies, browsing the net, recording gameplay and video-chatting with a friend.
If the UI navigation experience is just as seamless as the (somewhat obviously staged) trailer implies the Xbox One could indeed be a very pleasant console to operate making it very easy to stay in touch with friends while gaming or watching television.
But of course, it’s not like Microsoft are going to show off someone screaming “Xbox go to Pacific Rim damnit,” in a vain attempt to get the Kinect to finally recognize their command. So we just have to wait until the Xbox One comes out next month to see if the new Kinect is going to be more of a help than a hindrance.
