Metal Gear Online Looks Insanely Fun

The Metal Gear Online portion of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was shown at The Game Awards and it’s looking awesome.

Big Boss himself (Keifer Sutherland) came onto the stage to bring out Hideo Kojima. Kojima then presented the first ever gameplay from Metal Gear Online. It appears the multiplayer mode will be more action-packed than the stealth-based nature of the single player campaign.

From the footage that was shown on Metal Gear Online, it was a team death style match-up with Big Boss’ team going up against Ocelot’s team. It looks like Big Boss and Ocelot will be playable in the game, but you can also choose to be numerous different looking soldiers too.

The controls in Metal Gear Online is similar to that of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. You can use a stealth approach and scout out enemies, or you can just simply go loud and kill everyone in sight. You can even take selfies in the game too if you want.

The best thing shown about Metal Gear Online is that the metal “chicken walker” like those seen the Star Wars films can be used. You can steal it from enemies and use it too kill enemies with ease. It looks very action-packed and different from any other Metal Gear Solid video game.
