With only a couple months left until the release of NBA 2K15, gamers have been waiting to see that first gameplay footage of this year’s version of the game for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Luckily, that wait is over after Kevin Durant has shared the first footage over his Instagram account, which was subsequently uploaded to the official NBA 2K YouTube account.
While very short, the footage shows cover star Durant dribbling slowly before posterizing Golden State player Andre Iguodala. The animations look fantastic and you really get a sense that they have modeled the in-game Durant to move just like his real-life counterpart. The crowd even looks more alive than ever, complete with a giant Kevin Durant head being held by someone in the stands.
Hopefully this is a sign that we will be getting more footage soon of other players in action, perhaps even Lebron James back in his Cavs jersey? In the mean time, make sure to check out the very short gameplay footage video for yourself below and look for NBA 2K15 on October 7 with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, along with a release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, albeit a different one than the current-gen release.
