Bandai Namco has now uploaded an official Tekken 7 trailer running at both 1080p and 60fps.
Since this is an official upload, you can finally get to see what the graphics for Tekken 7 actually look like. In the past, we had to resort to looking at rough streams or even off-screen footage of the game.
To view the Tekken 7 trailer at 1080p and 60fps, you have to change the setting on the YouTube video obviosuly. Even viewing the video at 720p, you can see the video running smoothly at 60fps.
Bandai Namco has noted that Tekken 7 is still “in development” so this is not representative of the full product. It’s also worth mentioning that all footage released for the game so far is from the arcade version. It’s still looking pretty good so far though.
Bandai Namco has not announced Tekken 7’s console platforms yet. However, this new trailer is a good indication that the team is aiming for 1080p and 60fps. This is doable since WWE 2K15 was 1080p and 60fps for both the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
Tekken 7 will be released in Japanese arcades in early 2015. Hopefully Bandai Namco will announce more details for the console versions sometime next year too.
