The Amazing Spider-Man game that has been rumored in production from Beenox has been confirmed this morning by Activision.  The game which will release with the upcoming movie by the same name, is said to be an epilogue of the story taking place after the events in the theatrical version.

Activision has been hush hush about the game until now, but a few details have hit the web leading up to the announcement.  In the new Spider-Man game, Spidey will be able to free roam in Manhattan with a whole new arsenal of moves at the players disposal.  The game will be officially revealed this weekend at the VGAs, but considering that this reveal will be a brief trailer, it’s hard to think that Activision will divulge too much about the game at the awards show, other than a taste of what’s to come.

Hopefully, it’s better than Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
