We’ve known for a little while now that Naughty Dog, the acclaimed developer behind such franchises as Crash BandicootJack & Daxter and The Last of Us, have been working on a new Uncharted game. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was originally supposed to be a short DLC, but lo and behold, the good people at Naughty Dog ended up making a whole new game. We’ve known that this game will star Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross rather than Nathan Drake, but otherwise, details on the game have been scant. Luckily, during Sony’s presentation at E3 today (June 12), we got a new look at the game in the form of a new trailer based around the game’s story.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy‘s story follows Chloe and Nadine as they attempt to track down the Tusk of Ganesh, Ganesh being a god in the Hindu religion. To do so, they will have to traverse various locations and landscapes across India, as well as avoiding the new antagonist Asav, whose goal is to win a civil war we started. The relationship between Chloe and Nadine appears to be that of a buddy cop duo; reluctantly friendly, humorous, not completely trusting, but ultimately in recognition that they need each other to achieve their goal.

In a blog post on the official Naughty Dog website, it is stated that, in addition to the new trailer, there will also be a demo of the game at E3 for attendees to play. Later in the week, footage of this demo will be made available to the public. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will be made available on August 22 and will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. You can watch the new story trailer below.
