Inside the Brains of Xbox One’s Kinect 2.0

Microsoft have released an official video showing off ‘the brains’ of the Kinect 2.0. The Kinect 2.0 is the Xbox One version of the Kinect.

The video, seen above, displays the skeleton tracking of roughly 25 joints on the Xbox One as well as 3-Dimensional orientation. On top of the skeleton they can also apply a physics model to show force and muscle strain. A green color represents a lack of force, scaling up to a deep red for muscles that are being used extensively. White circles on the screen also represent the level of force that you produce from punches.

A shorter video has also hit the internet from Microsoft named ‘Behind the eyes of Xbox One Kinect’, and can be found here. This video shows off the larger field of view, 3D room mapping and 1080p colour video.

Having seen the Kinect 2.0 in action, what do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below.
