The Pokemon Company has revealed a new mythical Pokemon named Hoopa, who will debut in Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire some time soon. Hoopa has been long discussed within the Pokemon community ever since hackers discovered his data hidden within Pokemon X & Y. However, no official announcement was made about his existence until this morning with the video seen below. Many speculated that Hoopa was responsible for the Mirage Spots found throughout the Hoenn region in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, which allowed you to catch Legendary Pokemon from past games.

Hoopa is described as “a Mythical Pokémon in the world of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire that cannot be encountered through regular gameplay! The Pokémon is recognizable by its two horns and the golden ring that adorns its trunk. Hoopa’s rings are said to have the power to bend dimensions and move objects across great distances.”
Exactly how players will be able to encounter and catch Hoopa has not been revealed, but it will likely be a special event that requires you to swing in your local Gamestop and pick up a code. Fans will definitely want to get their hands on Hoopa as he is the very first Psychic-Ghost dual-type Pokemon, leading to some interesting options for battle.
