A UK retailer shows that the release date window for Titanfall 2 will be in the calendar year of 2016. This could be feasible since EA already released a teaser trailer for the game earlier this month.
As noted by VideoGamer, GAME UK put up a pre-order listing for Titanfall 2 already and it says “TBC-2016”. The “TBC-2016” release window is shown on all versions of the game. This means the game is unlikely to be a timed exclusive so it should be out simultaneously for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Signs that the game will be out later this year had been building up. McFarlane Toys are set to release toys from the franchise later this year proving that a new game is nearing release. Not to mention EA somewhat mentioned that Mass Effect Andromeda might be released in early 2017 instead. The new Titanfall game may have taken its spot.
If the game is out in 2016, it could be releasing in November while Battlefield 5 is released in October. Both games are somewhat of the same genre, so EA needs to space them out to avoid cannibalising sales. Not to mention Activision will no doubt release Call of Duty 2016 around the same too.
