‘What are you going to do about it?’ A party of 15 ran through six steaks before police had to be called to the restaurant

The sixth steak was the breaking point.

A party of 15 was escorted out by police after a dinner at a restaurant spiraled into chaos over six steaks the group refused to accept. The incident was later shared by a server named Madi on TikTok, where her retelling quickly gained traction and racked up more than 501,000 views, drawing strong reactions from viewers over how the situation unfolded.

According to Brobible, the shift began at 9:00 PM. Madi was almost done with her workday when the large group arrived. The woman leading the party was very friendly at first, calling Madi names like “babydoll” and “babygirl,” which made Madi feel the service would go smoothly.

Things changed quickly when one of the women at the table claimed her steak was overcooked. Replacing a steak is a normal task in a restaurant, so Madi handled it without issue. However, the guest kept rejecting each new steak that was brought out, and by the time the sixth steak was sent back, management had to step in.

The situation turned physical when the guest challenged the manager in front of the entire table

A manager told the table that the kitchen could not meet their expectations and that no more steaks would be served. According to Madi, the guest had a meltdown and got into the manager’s personal space. When the manager said he was not going to fight her and asked her not to touch him, the guest pushed her index finger into his cheek and said, “You’re on the clock. What are you going to do about it?”

The manager tried to calm things down by offering a refund or gift cards, but the situation at the table got worse. Madi reported that some of the men in the party started throwing items, flipping plates, and pouring drinks on the table.

Not all bad restaurant experiences turn violent, but some can still be deeply uncomfortable, like when a fancy restaurant visit went awkward over a complimentary dish. Because this behavior counted as assault, the police were called. The restaurant was placed on lockdown, and the group was eventually escorted out by authorities.

The viral post got a lot of reactions from people who have worked in similar situations. One commenter wrote, “People in the Service Industry don’t get paid enough for what they have to put up with.” Another user pointed out that such behavior has become common enough that some locations now hire full-time security just to protect staff.

Restaurants are private property, which gives owners and managers the right to involve law enforcement when needed. Property owners can refuse service or entry at any time. Dining out with a group can go wrong in unexpected ways, as seen when a family’s restaurant visit shocked other diners. When guests engage in assault, abuse, or illegal activity, calling the police is a standard and necessary response to keep employees and other customers safe.
