Ahead of the weekend GTA Online received a patch that relieved many of the issues the online mode was having. However, there seems to be on issue that is continuing to plague the mode, and it’s a big one. Some users are experiencing lost characters, progress, items, and cash after putting in hours of game play.
Rockstar says that they are currently looking to identify and correct the causes for this issue. An update on the Rockstar Support page elaborates.
“We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release. We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value.”
For many the earlier patch has corrected a lot of the connectivity problems, and again, this isn’t happening to all GTA Online players. If it’s not happening to you, consider yourself lucky.
