A representative for Telltale Games has confirmed that The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 4 will arrive later this month. This comes shortly after the release of the first teaser image from Telltale’s other series The Wolf Among Us, whose season finale should be out within a few weeks. The last episodes released for each series came within two weeks of each other, showing that Telltale has nailed down their production schedule after delays hit both series’ first few episodes.
We’re expecting Ep 204 to arrive this month and should have news in the coming weeks
The tweet from Job J Stauffer specifically reads “Walking Dead fans, thanks so much for your patience! We’re expecting Ep 204 to arrive this month and should have news in the coming weeks.” If this release follows traditional Telltale scheduling, then The Wolf Among Us will get a trailer in the next week, with the final release hitting shortly after that. Then The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 4 will have its teaser image dropped, followed by the same events. With this in mind I would not expect the episode to hit for a few weeks, probably making it right near the end of the month.
The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 4, titled Amid the Ruins, should pick up shortly after Clementine and her group have escaped from Carver’s camp. On the run, and with a few injuries to take care of, the group will be in pretty big trouble as they try to make it on their own. Past fourth episodes in Telltale series have been some of the least well received, feeling more like transitions toward the ending episode rather than stand-alone elements of the overall story. Will The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 4 be the one to buck this trend? Find out later this month.
The Walking Dead Season 2Â is available as separate episodes, or as a season pass purchase. It is currently available on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Mac, and iOS. PS4, Xbox One, and Playstation Vita versions are all planned for later this year.
