It was announced weeks ago Bayonetta is included on every disc purchased for Bayonetta 2. However, confusion arose for those that were planning to buy the digital version of the game.

Nintendo of America has now sent out a statement to Nintendo Enthusiast on how you can get access to Bayonetta by buying Bayonetta 2.

“If you purchase the disc version of Bayonetta 2, the packaging will include the disc version of the first Bayonetta. If you purchase the digital version of Bayonetta 2, there will be an automatic discount to download the first Bayonetta for free. Likewise, if you purchase the digital version of the first Bayonetta, there will be an automatic discount to download Bayonetta 2 for free.”

This should once and for all put an end to all of the confusion. Either way, you still get a free game by purchasing Bayonetta 2 in any form. Good for people who have never had a chance to play the first game. After all, the first game was released only for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It’s also cool you get access to the sequel as well if you buy the first game digitally.

Bayonetta 2 launches in October exclusively for the Wii U. If the game sells well enough, we may see the third game on the Wii U as well.
