Plants vs. Zombies first started as a mobile tower defense style game, but EA surprised everyone a couple years ago with Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. Moving to the shooter genre, the game was very well received and now a sequel has been officially revealed.

Microsoft’s E3 conference gave us our first look at Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 earlier today in a simple trailer. However, the EA E3 conference has given us much more with a full gameplay demo that looks like a blast.

Taking control of the zombies this time, you must battle against the plants this time, which is a unique twist and should make the game feel very different.

Solo play is being implemented this time, which was a highly requested feature of the original that they have added this time. You can also transfer your characters from the original game as well, which is a really nice feature to have. In addition, we are going to have free content updates coming as well, which is great to see from EA.
