Konami’s PES 2016 released a few months ago as a full retail release, but then word of some sort of free-to-play version leaked out through a ratings classification in the last few weeks. Now, that version of the game is officially available under the name PES 2016 myClub on PS4 and PS3.

This free-to-play version of PES 2016 is certainly not the full game, but still more than just a glorified demo of the game.

By downloading the game from the PlayStation store, the game includes the online myClub mode, the offline Exhibition mode, and a full Training mode. The Exhibition mode specifically provides you with seven teams that you can use within it.

To access the online matching features of myClub mode, you will have to be a PS Plus member. However, as we told you earlier, there will be a free multiplayer weekend going on for PS4 this weekend, so you can always check out if it’s worth it then.

If you want to play the other features of PES 2016, you will need to purchase the full game. Luckily, this game isn’t littered with microtransactions that would make us worry that they would replace the annual game with that instead, but with Konami you really never know these days.
