Many developers have recently left BioWare in the middle of making Mass Effect Andromeda. Another staff member has now announced their departure.
Former senior editor for Mass Effect Andromeda, Cameron Harris tweeted out: “I’ve decided to exit the video-game industry to return to Seattle for new opportunities there. I’ll be leaving BioWare in mid-April.”
This is the third big departure from the studio in the last couple of months. First it was Senior Development Director Chris Wynn who left and he was followed by Chris Schlerf who was the Lead Writer.
These departures may have had some type of impact on the game’s development as it is now slated to be released in early 2017. The game was originally going to be out in Holiday 2016. EA recently announced a slight delay, although the company did not give a reason for it. In its place is expected to be Titanfall 2.
Hopefully the game doesn’t end up being like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as Naughty Dog’s title has been delayed more than several times. BioWare’s departures don’t seem that bad as Naughty Dog’s though because the Uncharted team changed dramatically when The Last of Us people took over.
