It was recently announced that a new Adventure Time game is being developed for a 2018 release. This game, entitled Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, will have an open world and a theme of pirates, according to Eurogamer.

Players will sail around in a pirate ship in a flooded Land of Ooo, kind of like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Playable characters will include Finn, Jake, Marceline and BMO. Bandai Namco, who will be publishing the game, states that you’ll be able to “Upgrade your heroes, use items, spells, potions and unique ultimate hero abilities to battle bad guys in fast-paced tactical combat.” The game is apparently being developed by Climax Studios, who have worked on such games as Assassin’s Creed Chronicles and Silent Hill: Origins and Shattered Memories.

There isn’t much other information, or a trailer or anything, at this point, but for now, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion is slated for a spring 2018 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Also, the game’s other publisher, Outright Games, is currently holding a contest for fans to submit and then vote on possible names for Finn’s ship in the game, which you can take part in by clicking here.
