New Screenshots of the Matchmaking System for Halo Reach. Some of the new features of Halo Reach have been explained in an interview between Shack News and Bungie.
In the interview Bungie discloses some new information that the Halo Reach Multiplayer Trailer left fans wondering about.
Active Roster – A system that will allow gamers to see a list of freinds and what they are doing within Reach. Â For example what game they are playing, with who, scores, and remaining time, etc.
Queued Join – When waiting to party up with friends you can enter the automated queue which will place you in  a party with your friends automatically once they are available or finished with a match.
Veto 2.0 – A new system of veto for matchmaking. Â This will allow user to vote on multiple maps and gametypes. Â Gone are the days of veto a map and mode just to get stuck with something even worse.
Arena – Arena is the ultimate Halo competitors hangout. This mode is geared towards the “hardcore” Â Based on a ratings system it takes the existing ranked structures and qualifies gamers in a daily, divisional, a monthly rankings system which will consists of four divisions: Onyx, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Steel.
Ranked & Social are Now Combined
“Party Up” is New and Improved – All players will be kept together and Reach will take an Opt-Out approach to party up.
New Social Settings –
TeamWork: Team Players or Lone Wolf
Motivation: Winning or Having Fun
Chattiness: Chatty vs. Quiet
Tone: Polite vs. Rowdy
