Rockstar North is currently hard at work on GTA V, but the gang over at Rockstar San Diego are currently cooking up something new as well. A new job posting indicates that the team which brought us the Red Dead and Midnight Club series is hard at work on their next project.
The listings are for numerous types of programmers that “specializes in the synchronization of the wide range of gameplay mechanics found in a Rockstar open world game,” says the listing on Gamasutra. Rockstar San Diego’s last released game was Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare DLC pack, which was a huge success both critically and commercially for the studio.
There’s been no mention of a new game out of Rockstar San Diego thus far, so it’s hard to tell what this next game might be. We’re hoping for some more Red Dead action, but Rockstar has proven that their formula for open world games is working in a number of scenarios.
