The next Call of Duty title has yet to be revealed.  But there’s plenty of evidence that suggests that Treyarch’s new title will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.  What’s also unconfirmed, is where the franchise will land come November.

With Nintendo’s next console on the horizon, the Official Nintendo Magazine prompted Activision with the question of whether or not the next Call of Duty game would arrive on the Nintendo Wii U, and the company declined to comment.

You would think that if history tells us anything, that the game should be arriving for the Wii U.  The Call of Duty franchise has a long history of arriving on Nintendo’s Wii, albeit a bit dumbed down from its PS3 and Xbox 360 counterparts.  The next one however, should be closer to the versions on those consoles, considering the Wii U’s HD capabilities and higher specs.

If it does on arrive on Nintendo’s next console, it’ll be interesting to see if Treyarch utilizes the Wii U tablet interface to bring a new gameplay revelations to the console.  The next Call of Duty title will be officially announced during the NBA playoffs, next month.
