Here’s When The Suicide Squad Review Embargo Is Lifted

The reception for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may have been mixed at best earlier this year, but that hasn’t stopped DC from going all out with their promotion of the upcoming Suicide Squad. With the trailers looking fantastic, we’ve been waiting to see just how the reception will be for the movie and we now know just when that will be.

Suicide Squad releases in theaters in just over a week on August 5, with the premiere happening in the very near future. This means critics will get to screen the movie very soon as well, especially since we now know when the review embargo will be lifting.

This comes courtesy of Slashfilm owner Peter Sciretta who was asked on Twitter when he was going to be seeing the movie, in which he responded “soon.” The more important question came after though, in which he was asked if there was an embargo. Sciretta responded to this by revealing that the review embargo for Suicide Squad is Tuesday, August 2 at 9:00 am PT/12:00 pm ET.

This means the wait is almost over for when we’ll find out what critics think of Suicide Squad, with a little less than a week to go. The embargo lifting period is very similar to Batman v Superman as well, which came three days prior to release back in March.

We’re really hoping that Suicide Squad is well received by fans and critics alike, as it could really help push the DCEU forward with the promising Wonder Woman and Justice League movies on the horizon as well.
