Sony E3 Predictions And Wishes For PS4

Recommended Videos

E3 is almost here and we are mere days from Sony’s PS4 E3 conference, which takes place on Monday night. We’ve already covered our predictions and wishes for the Microsoft conference, so now it is Sony’s turn with yet another list.

Unlike the Microsoft conference that was much more set for the most part, Sony’s upcoming schedule for 2015 is pretty questionable right now. The good thing is that plenty of surprises are bound to show up during their presentation. We will mostly be sticking to the PS4 only here as well, as Sony will basically have this as their PS4 E3 conference with little PS Vita.

Sony took the interesting approach of starting their own convention with PSX last December, so they definitely are spreading out their announcements. However, there is absolutely no way that they will just hold back big reveals and info for their own, with E3 still being the king of gaming conferences. Without further ado, these are our predictions and wishes for the Sony’s PS4 E3 press conference.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End New Gameplay Footage

Naughty Dog has easily become the star pupil for Sony over the years, with nothing but quality games from them last-gen. While it is disappointing that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End got delayed to 2016, Sony will definitely be showing the game off during their PS4 E3 conference this year. Rather than just a trailer, Naughty Dog likely has an even more in-depth gameplay demo in store, similar to what we saw during PSX back in December. Sony will want to have a large focus on games coming in 2015, but there is no way they can shy away from this blockbuster title.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Showcase & Beta Date

Just last week, we had the leak and then official reveal of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. One has to wonder if it was always the plan to announce the game like they did or if they were going to save it for a reveal at E3. Regardless, the game will no doubt be there to show off how the Uncharted trilogy looks on PS4 in 1080p and 60fps. On top of that, this would be a great time to reveal the date for the beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End that will be coming with this remastered collection.

God of War III Remaster Footage

The age of the remaster continues with the upcoming God of War III Remaster. This is honestly one of the remakes where it seems like most do not care, but Sony has to show it off here. The bigger surprise would be if they announced that 1 and 2 were going to be included as well, but there is almost zero chance of that. Regardless, Sony will definitely show us something about this game during the conference more likely than not.

Bloodborne Expansion Unveiling & Release Window

There was much speculation for awhile that we would be getting an expansion for the highly successful Bloodborne, but it wasn’t until Shuhei Yoshida confirmed it a few weeks ago. The only caveat is that he said the reveal was coming “later this year,” which could technically mean anytime after that tweet. The PS4 E3 showcase would be the best time to do so, with Sony now showing anything at Gamescom and PSX so far away. This could be a major “game” this coming holiday season if it is out in 2015.

Ratchet & Clank New Movie & Game Trailer

Earlier this week saw the officially unveiling of the next Ratchet & Clank game that will serve as a reimagining of the first entry in the franchise. That is not the only Ratchet & Clank on the horizon, as we also have a movie releasing in theaters next year as well. While they did reveal the game already, you can count for both the game and movie to have some sort of presence in the show, even if its a similar trailer to what we have already seen.

The Last Guardian Re-Reveal

The Last Guardian showing up is the ultimate case of “I’ll won’t believe it until I see it,” but it still has to be on this list. Respectable outlet The Guardian has reported that the game will be re-revealed at E3 this year and hopefully that is the case. After being first unveiled for PS3, the game was quietly moved to PS4 at some point, with talk that the game was cancelled at times as well. I need my Team Ico fix, so this is easily the game I want to see revealed again more than anything during the PS4 E3 showing.
