Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer And Reveal Of New World
This one is more of a wish than a prediction, but the Sony conference is where we got our first glimpse of Kingdom Hearts 3 in 2013. Outside of very few appearances, the game has been almost nonexistent in the public eye since that time. Fans are absolutely dying for new information and why they could wait for the Square Enix conference on Tuesday to show off the game, there is no bigger stage than the Sony conference. The hope would be a brand new trailer for the game that hints at the story and shows us a new world like Toy Story or Frozen.
Destiny – The Taken King Expansion Reveal
Leaks started to pop up about The Taken King earlier this week, with it sounding like it will be many times larger than any previous DLC for Destiny thus far. While the expansion most certainly will not be exclusive to PlayStation platforms, the partnership Bungie and Sony have had would lead us to believe we will see The Taken King announced here.
Rime Trailer and Release Window
PlayStation 4 has been known for its bevy of indie titles available and the most likely one to be shown off outside of a sizzle reel is that of Rime. With a unique art style and gameplay that seem reminiscent of fan favorites like Ico, Rime is definitely one to watch and hopefully we can get a new trailer and release window.
PS Vita Sizzle Reel
While this list is for the PS4 E3 section, since that is Sony’s focus, I thought I’d at least mention one Vita related topic, considering there is no way to make a full list on that. Sony will likely show a sizzle reel of upcoming indies or other games coming to the system, along with maybe another push for remote play between the two systems.
AAA Title Announcements For PS Plus
This one is almost a copy and paste from the Microsoft E3 list, just replacing Games With Gold for PS Plus. The June lineup of games for PS Plus is pretty good, but it would be great if they announced that a AAA from the early lifespan of the PS4 would be coming that day or at worst in July. While a game like Knack or Killzone: Shadow Fall would fit this, it would be even better if a more critically acclaimed game was chosen instead.
Crash Bandicoot Reboot
I ended up putting this at the end of the list, as it is one of the most unlikely of all. Crash Bandicoot started off on the PlayStation 1 from Naughty Dog, but the series has since found its way into the hands of Activision and we haven’t heard anything of the franchise changing hands. Hopefully something has been worked out behind the scenes and we will see the return of one of the first true PlayStation mascots during their PS4 E3 portion of their conference.
