A Jewish civil rights group just gave Tucker Carlson an ‘of the year’ he probably won’t be bragging about

He’s not getting invited to a bar mitzvah soon.

Tucker Carlson has been given the title “Antisemite of the Year” for 2025 by StopAntisemitism, a Jewish civil rights group. The main reason for this is the interviews he did with controversial speakers throughout the past year. The organization was very clear about why the conservative broadcaster received this title.

According to the Independent, Liora Rez, who founded and runs StopAntisemitism, said Carlson won by “an overwhelming vote margin.” She criticized his work, saying his “divisive, hateful, and dangerous rhetoric and his repeated glowing interviews with bigots and Hitler apologists have made him the most reviled Jew-hater over the last 12 months.”

The biggest problem was Carlson’s interview with white supremacist Nick Fuentes in late October. During that talk, Fuentes attacked “organized Jewry in America,” talked about the importance of being “pro-white,” and even said he was a “fan” of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin, who is known for persecuting Russian Jews.

Carlson also criticized Christian supporters of Israel during the same interview

Carlson didn’t just sit quietly during the conversation. He also went after “Christian Zionists” on the American right for supporting Israel. He specifically called out people like President George W Bush, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and Senator Ted Cruz.

StopAntisemitism said Carlson uses his huge platform to “normalize antisemitism.” They accused him of promoting the antisemitic “great replacement theory” and playing down white supremacy. Rez explained that when powerful people spread these ideas, “it contributes to a climate where threats, harassment, and violence against Jews become more and more common.”

The Fuentes interview created huge backlash among American conservatives, similar to how controversial sports figures face intense public scrutiny. Carlson also interviewed other controversial figures this year, including Palestinian pastor Munther Isaac and Darryl Cooper, a revisionist historian of World War II. Florida Republican Rep. Randy Fine called Carlson “the most dangerous antisemite in America” and accused him of being like “the leader of a modern-day Hitler Youth.”

Pundit Ben Shapiro also strongly criticized the situation. At a recent conference, Shapiro called Fuentes a “Hitler apologist, Nazi-loving, anti-American piece of refuse.” He said Carlson had “built Nick Fuentes up” by giving him such a large platform.

When confronted about the controversy, Carlson’s fiery response to the interview backlash shocked many observers. He told Megyn Kelly that his critics can “buzz off” and said he was just trying to “understand what people think.” Meanwhile, President Trump defended Carlson but distanced himself from the Mar-a-Lago dinner, saying the host had “said good things about me over the years.”
