Food prices at Coachella have become a major topic again, with festivalgoers sharing just how much they are spending to eat throughout the weekend. Getting into the festival alone already costs a lot, as general admission passes for three days are priced at $649 plus fees. But once inside, the spending does not stop there. Many attendees say they were simply not prepared for how fast the costs add up once they are on the festival grounds.
Back in 2024, a TikToker named Jackie Tanti went viral after sharing her receipt for two breakfast burritos and a cucumber water, which totaled $64. According to Indy100, In her video, she said, “It’s weekend one of Coachella, and I’ve just spent $64 on this really good juice and two breakfast burritos. Capitalism is crazy and I am part of the problem.” Many of her followers called the pricing criminal and insane.
This year, festivalgoers are still documenting their food costs, and the numbers remain high. Creator Cristina Gonzalez shared that a matcha drink she bought had gone up from $6 the day before to $13, with an extra $2.50 added for foamed milk. A coffee she purchased cost $17, and in total, she spent $53 on three coffees and one matcha.
Coachella food prices are still shocking festivalgoers in 2025
Gonzalez also bought a burrito from the One Stop Taco Shop for $23. Another creator, who goes by the handle @natashascloset, bought a small four-slice pizza and a drink for $34. She had been warned by another attendee that the pizza might be raw, and while she did not find it to be raw, she lowered her rating of the food from 7.95 to 7.5 after noticing the edges were chewy.
And if you think that is steep, Coachella’s $362.50 four-course rose garden dinner takes things to a whole new level. One TikToker, @karissaeats, tried to show what a full day of eating could look like for under $150.
Her spending included mac and cheese fried chicken loaded fries for $26, a pink sparkly caesar salad for $25, three tacos for $19, dumplings for $18, an acai superfood smoothie for $17, a spicy tuna burrito for $21, and a banh mi for $24. Even sticking to a rough budget, the total still climbs quickly, and most people find it hard to stay under their limit when food options are everywhere around the grounds.
Reactions in the comments sections have been strong across all these videos. One person said, “I will not understand why they charge so much for food and drinks when the tickets are expensive anyway…..” Another wrote, “that’s insane to pay that much for food hell no.” Someone else joked, “this is the only coachella content i wanna see from now on😂 i love it.”
According to Unilad, other creators have documented similarly steep prices. GirlBossTown shared that loaded fries cost $28 and noodles cost $23 on her first day at the festival. Across the board, festivalgoers seem to agree that food prices at Coachella are a major shock. Coachella has also expanded beyond the festival grounds this year, with Fortnite’s Coachella Island quests bringing the festival experience into the game.
For anyone attending to see headliners like Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, the food budget is likely to match the cost of the ticket itself. Those who are not prepared for these prices may find the spending to be just as overwhelming as the desert heat.
