Hemsworth’s daughter refused to film more Avengers scenes, but the deal he made to get her back on set proves she knows her worth

No freebies, even for her dad!

Chris Hemsworth had to make a deal with his 13-year-old daughter, India Rose, to get her back on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. She got tired during filming and refused to continue her scenes. Hemsworth plays Thor in the Marvel movies and had to negotiate with his own daughter to finish the work.

According to Reality Tea, India Rose plays a character named Love in the Marvel films. This isn’t her first time in a Marvel movie, but she was much younger when they filmed Thor: Love and Thunder. Now that she’s 13 years old, she started showing a different attitude on set.

Love is the daughter of a villain called Gorr the God Butcher. In the story, she dies from starvation early in the film, which makes her father want to destroy all the gods. At the end of the movie, Gorr makes a wish to bring her back to life, and Thor adopts her.

India Rose proved she understands the value of her work

The trouble started because India got tired of waiting on set. When she arrived, she asked, “Ugh, how long is this gonna take?” They hadn’t even started filming yet. After shooting the first take, she immediately asked, “Are we done?” Hemsworth told her they still needed two or three more days of filming.

India was not happy about the extended schedule. Hemsworth said she showed “this angsty, sort of teenage attitude” when she heard the news. She went straight to her tent, sat in her chair, and refused to participate in filming. With Steve Rogers also returning to the MCU, the production schedule was already packed with important scenes.

The directors needed India on set to finish important scenes, so Hemsworth had to negotiate with his daughter. India said she wouldn’t come back because she thought she wasn’t getting paid for the role. Hemsworth explained that she does get paid, but the money is saved for her until she turns 18.

India didn’t know she was earning money from Marvel. When she found out, everything changed. She started seeing the filming as a business opportunity and began thinking about what she wanted, especially motorbikes. Unlike Henry Cavill’s departure from The Witcher, India’s time on set had a much happier ending once the deal was made.

India races and rides motorbikes, so she asked her father if she could buy the motorbike she wanted with her saved money. Hemsworth knew he needed her back on set, so he told her, “You possibly could.” That answer was enough to get her back to work. Hemsworth said she never threw tantrums while filming, but she clearly knew how to use her position when things got tough.
