Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has plenty of things to keep players busy, from weekly challenges to earning Mastery Camos. The game also introduced Weapon Prestige for the first time in the series. This feature lets you reset your weapon’s level to unlock new attachments, camos, and other rewards. After prestiging a weapon twice, you can grind it all the way to Level 250.
Getting a weapon to max level takes a very long time, even when using Double XP Weekends. According to Dexerto, one Reddit user named kaiiyu decided to do this for every weapon in the game. After all that work, the game’s reward told them to “touch grass.”
The player posted on Reddit showing what you get for reaching Weapon Prestige Master Max Level with 30 weapons. The reward is a Dark Ops Calling Card called “Touch Grass.” It shows a skeleton soldier lying on grass, looking completely worn out, with weapons sticking out of the ground around them.
The calling card doesn’t feel worth the massive time investment
The user confirmed the card isn’t even animated. They also said that no special camo comes with it. This calling card is the only thing you get for all that grinding. Players who want to maximize their Black Ops loadouts might expect better rewards for such dedication.
Since Season 1 added more weapons to the game, you don’t need to max out every launch weapon anymore. You just need to reach Weapon Prestige Master with any 30 weapons to earn the card.
The Reddit user skipped the sniper rifles and two melee weapons. They wondered if doing it with only the original launch weapons might give you something extra, but they weren’t sure.
Other players were disappointed by the reward. One person replied saying the card should definitely be animated since it’s probably the hardest card to earn in the entire game. They criticized how the developers pick which cards get animation.
The original poster agreed the reward wasn’t great. They said when they saw there was a camo for completing all four mastery camos, they thought maxing out weapon levels would also give a camo. The Black Ops series has delivered mixed experiences over the years, and this reward system seems to continue that trend. They admitted they regret doing it because it wasn’t worth the effort at all.
If you were thinking about taking on this massive grind yourself, now you know what the reward is and can decide whether it’s worth your time.
