A woman’s wheelchair battery gave out before she could reach her front door, then an Amazon driver she calls an ‘angel’ came to her rescue

Kimberley, a motorized wheelchair user who posts as alkimmythealchemist and has multiple sclerosis, recently went viral on TikTok after sharing an act of kindness from an Amazon driver. The video, which has drawn over two million views, shows doorbell camera footage of the moment the Oklahoma resident became stranded outside her house when her wheelchair died.

The video begins with Kimberley trying to drive up the ramp to her porch when the wheelchair beeps and stops. The overlay text describes her situation: “Scooter battery is too weak. Phone is inside.” With a shaky voice, she tells herself, “Okay, let’s just think about what we can do,” then tries to reverse up the incline, but the battery is too weak.

She then drives toward the street, but the wheelchair stalls again, with the overlay reading, “Scooter is dead. Sh-t.” As she looks around for help, she spots a delivery driver pulling up next door and calls out, “Can you please help me for a second? I’m so sorry. I’m sorry, I’m stuck.” The driver responds right away, saying, “Oh, I got you, sweetheart.”

The driver didn’t hesitate for a second

When Kimberley asks if the driver can push her up the ramp, the worker agrees, saying, “I sure can.” The footage shows the driver reach down to hug Kimberley and tell the still-apologizing TikToker, “Don’t be sorry. Don’t cry, my love.” She then talks to Kimberley comfortingly as she pushes her to the porch.

Once on the porch, the driver checks in, asking, “Is that good, baby? You want more?” Kimberley replies, “I just want to cry. Thank you.” The driver gives her another quick hug and says, “Don’t cry, my love. It’s okay. Have a great night.” As the driver walks away, Kimberley calls her a “mama angel” and thanks her again, to which the driver responds, “Always.”

In the comments, users highlighted the importance of human workers, with one noting, “Delivery drones would not do this.” Another user shared that a delivery driver once helped their father-in-law, who fell unconscious after a diabetic attack in the garage, writing that an “Amazon driver found him and stayed until a neighbor arrived.”

Others shared their emotional reactions to the driver’s gentle response and kindness when faced with distress. One commenter, empathizing with how embarrassed and scared Kimberley must have felt, wrote, “I’m glad good people still walk this earth with us.” Another noted, “This world is full of people making her think she has to apologize for existing. This delivery driver was an absolute angel.”

In her caption, Kimberley thanked the “Amazon delivery angel” for helping her to her door. She added, “A reminder that we really are just walking each other home. Or pushing.”
