It has been a while since last time we heard some news concerning the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, but things could heat up in a very short time considering the news we have received today. Apparently a recent product listing on Amazon could have mistakenly revealed the development of a new title in the Garden Warfare spin-off before the developers had the chance to even tease it to the public.
The information appears on the description of a new comic book based on the series, which would link the events from Garden Warfare 2 to the upcoming title. Since these messages are provided by editors and other official sources, it would seem that there is every reason to think that an official presentation of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 is very close.
Here is the text published on the Amazon page: “Garden Warfare Returns to Neighborville! Paul Tobin returns to write the official comic book bridge between video games PvZ: GW2 and PvZ: GW3 with Tim Lattie returning to deliver artwork!Â
Just when you thought Neighborville was safe, the Garden Warfare is back on! Zombies have taken over and forced neighborhood defenders Nate, Patrice, and their fearless plants back on their heels! Not all hope is lost however when an unlikely plant hero comes to the rescue with the fate of Neighborville at stake!”
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 was a good shooter that perfected the formula from the original entry, even if it didn’t really introduce any groundbreaking features. Perhaps this third chapter will be able to offer a players a more unique experience.
