This past weekend brought us pre-orders for the upcoming Retro 3-pack amiibo exclusively at GameStop. While originally the pre-order window was set to be only for the weekend, it sounds like they have been extended to Monday at stores that still have some available.
The Retro 3-pack consists of Duck Hunt, Mr. Game & Watch, and ROB, which definitely were some fan-favorites that classic games really wanted to grab. As a result, many thought they’d be quite hard to obtain, especially with how past releases were.
People were lined up before stores opened on Saturday morning as a result, but the number of amiibo pre-orders available was quite amazing, compared to the past, and many stores still had them left at closing on Sunday. As a result, there are numerous reports of GameStop stores getting emails to extend the pre-order window through Monday.
This is great news for those that may have missed out due to being out of town, since it had to be at your local GameStop with no shipping option available.
There is no guarantee that your store has any Retro amiibo 3-pack pre-orders left, but it couldn’t hurt to call around to any in your area just to make sure. Just remember that there is a limit of one per person.
