Respawn Entertainment has announced that they will finally be introducing a solo mode for Apex Legends. The solo mode will be a Limited Time Mode during The Iron Crown Collection Event and will be available from August 13th through August 27th.  The developer says that the solo mode for Apex Legends will be a trial run. “We’re going to put it out there and see what happens and what kind of feedback we get,” according to a post on Reddit.
Whether or not this solo mode will be a permanent fixture in Apex Legends seems like it will depend on the feedback that they get during the LTM.
Exactly how solo mode works in Apex Legends is anyone’s guess. Not much has been revealed regarding how/if the game will be tweaked to accommodate solo players, so we’ll just need to log-in during the limited time mode to see it in action. Solo players haven’t had many options when playing Apex Legends up to this point. Since it’s a game that requires three players, those playing without friends have only had the option to get matched up with random players.
For some this has been a deal breaker when it comes to Apex Legends, though in-game tools have made life easier for players who aren’t actively chatting.
Look for the Limited Time solo mode in Apex Legends beginning on August 13th across all platforms.
