Ubisoft is definitely working on something for Nintendo’s Wii U, as they revealed at E3 2011.  However, that something isn’t Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and their keeping hush on the secretive project.  Ubisoft has already detailed that they are excited about the new technology, but how will they make use of it in a game like Assassin’s Creed?  They could do a number of things which they spoke of with Game Informer last month at E3.

“It could be used to view a persistent on-screen map, navigate the information database, fast-select weapons, or solve unique puzzles. Ubisoft says it could also be used for Assassin’s Creed’s eagle vision — the television screen would feature a regular view of the game world while the controller screen would have a constant eagle vision view.”

There could be any numbers of possibilities for an Assassin’s Creed game on the Wii U, but Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot told a Swedish publication that this project for the Wii U won’t be Revelations.  If it’s not Revelations, could it be Assassin’s Creed III in the works as we speak?  And for a next generation console no less!  It’s exciting to think of what a next generation Assassin’s Creed game might look like, but Guillemot made no comments on whether or not that was the case.
